Mike Rowe

Mike Rowe, is a TV host, writer, narrator, producer, actor, and spokesman. Over the course of his hit show “Dirty Jobs,” he traveled to all 50 states and completed 300 different jobs, showcasing the efforts “of hardworking men and women who earn an honest living doing the kinds of jobs that makes civilized life possible. In 2008, Mike launched mikeroweWORKS, a campaign to help close the skills gap created by stigmas discouraging individuals from pursuing skilled labor jobs, and he currently runs the mikeroweWorks Foundation that awards scholarships to those pursuing training in the skilled trades. In 2011, he testified before the U.S. Senate Commerce Committee about the importance of changing the perceptions around blue-collar work and in 2014 was asked back to testify in front of the House Committee on Natural Resources. He has also hosted the shows “Somebody’s Gotta Do It,” about people who “march to the beat of a different drum” and “Returning the Favor,” a web series in which Mike traveled across the U.S. looking for people giving back to their community. His newest show “Six Degrees with Mike Rowe” which aired in January of 2021, focuses on how everything in our world is surprisingly connected.
