Tim Arbeiter

Director of Broadband Development, MO Dept. of Economic Development

Tim joined the Missouri Department of Economic Development as the state’s new Director of Broadband Development in July, 2018. He leads the effort to address Missouri’s broadband needs, work with all public and private partners, and deploy new concepts for broadband in the state’s rural economies. Prior to his work for the State, Mr. Arbeiter worked for two Chambers of Commerce in Lee’s Summit and Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Mr. Arbeiter is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD). He holds the Institute of Organization Management (IOM) designation from the US Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Arbeiter attained his Masters in Counseling (2000) and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (1997) from Southeast Missouri State University. He resides in Lee's Summit, Missouri with his wife Pam, an orientation and mobility specialist for the Kansas State School for the Blind in Kansas City, Kansas, and two daughters Abigail (17) and Faith (14).
