Ryan Hyman

Senior VP & Chief Innovation & Information Office, Spire

Ryan Hyman is the vice president of information technology services for Spire. In this role, Ryan leads Spire’s efforts in bringing best in class technology services to our employees and our customers. He has led a multi-year technology transformation project that has helped Spire prepare for future growth. Prior to his current position, Ryan served as the assistant vice president of information technology. During the time that Spire owned SM&P Utility Resources, Inc., a utility locating company. He was responsible for leading their information systems group that supported more than 1,700 employees across 11 states. He brings robust experiences in building and leading technology organizations. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in computer programming technology from Purdue University. Ryan is actively involved with the energy industry, serving as an advisor for the American Gas Association’s committee on the Downstream Natural Gas Information Sharing and Analysis Center that helps to prepare natural gas utilities for possible physical or cyberattacks. Ryan is a member of the St. Louis Chief Information Officers Board. He also served as the 2014 honorary advisor to the Gateway to Innovation National Conference. Active in his community, Ryan serves on the board for the United Way of Greater St. Louis and St. Louis Humane Society.
