Brian Gant
Instructor, Simon School of Business, Maryville University
Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Mr. Gant began his educational
studies at Maryville University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems (03') while also playing collegiate basketball for the
institution. Mr. Gant completed his graduate studies at Fontbonne University earning a Master’s in Management (04') & Capella University earning
a Master’s in Human Services (11'). He is currently enrolled in Maryville U's Higher Education Leadership Doctoral Program with an expected April
2021 graduation. Mr. Gant began his professional career in law enforcement (04') with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) as an Intelligence
Analyst working cyber, domestic terrorism, & public corruption. He continued service over the next 5 years with the FBI until (09'), when he joined
the ranks of the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) as a Special Agent working domestic and international assignments, to include, protection of Former
President Barack Obama and Bill Clinton as well as critical systems protection, & electronic/cyber-crimes. Mr. Gant accepted an appointment to
become a full-time cybersecurity instructor in (20’) at the Simon School of Business, Maryville University. Mr. Gant has a 15-year old son (Tyler)
and an 8 year old daughter (Dawson) who also reside with him in St. Louis, MO.
