We Care for Kids … In Your Community

Born and raised in Nebraska, Kara Ficke is honored to serve as the campaign manager for We Care for Kids. She has devoted over 15 years to working locally, nationally, and internationally with organizations to build community and impact change through her work at the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau, Dimensions Educational Research Foundation on the Nature Explore and Exchange Press programs, and the Arbor Day Foundation. Quality early childhood care and education has an incredible impact on children, families, and communities, and Ficke is passionate about building support across Nebraska and beyond. She holds a B.A. in communication studies from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and has two sons, Alex and Christopher.
