Gladys Haynes

Creating Better Solutions With Parents and Providers at the Table

Gladys Haynes, director of Nebraska early learning initiatives at the Buffett Early Childhood Fund, is involved in local, state, and national early childhood initiatives. Her dedication to improving the lives of individuals living in marginalized communities has been shown through her work as a social worker, school psychologist, director of a large public school early childhood special education program and the executive director of Educare, a nonprofit early childhood education and care program. She has also co-authored manuals on creating high-quality center- and home-based early childhood programs and consults in the design of child care facilities. Haynes has a BSW and MSW from the University Nebraska at Omaha, and an Ed.S. and Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University Nebraska–Lincoln.
