We Care for Kids … In Your Community

Anne Brandt is executive director of Lincoln Littles. She became executive director in January 2020 after an 18-year career at Lincoln Public Schools. The opportunity to make a difference in the early years of children’s lives before they enter Kindergarten is especially meaningful due to her perspective and experiences at LPS. Brandt’s career at LPS included teaching middle school reading, Kindergarten, Reading Recovery and positions in federal programs and the gifted department as well as Teammates facilitator. She earned her B.A. in elementary, middle and secondary education and her master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, both from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, as well as a gifted education endorsement from Doane University. Brandt is a lifelong Lincolnite and is committed to making Lincoln a great place to live. She currently serves on the E.N. Thompson Forum planning committee, the Center for Legal Immigration (CLIA) board, and several committees. Her husband, Brad, is the senior manager of forest restoration programs at the Arbor Day Foundation. They have three children, twins Madalyn and Will, who are seniors at St. Olaf College in Minnesota, and Caroline, who is a freshman at Colorado State University, a yellow lab (Ellie) and a black lab (Frances). In her free time, she enjoys the mountains, the beach, reading, playing tennis, and being with family and friends.
