Shelina Williams is a dually licensed mental health therapist in
Nebraska who has provided mental health services to families
since 2003. She is the early childhood community coordinator
with Nebraska Early Childhood Collaborative (NECC), working to
strengthen access and quality related to early care and
education by coordinating local birth through age 5 community-
based efforts. Prior to that, she was a mental health
specialist with NECC, working with educators, families, and
children who attended the Early Learning Center programs at
Gateway Elementary, Skinner Magnet Center, and Kennedy
Elementary in Omaha. She offered social-emotional support to the
programs and helped teachers and parents navigate challenging
behaviors. She is a champion for trauma-informed care and is an
advocate for fair and equitable services for all. She loves
traveling in her spare time and listening to audiobooks.
