Suzanne Schneieder
Innovative Ways to Support the Community Child Care Workforce
Suzanne Schneider is associate director of Lincoln Littles,
providing support to child care providers, parents, and
increasing access to affordable early care and education for all
children in Lincoln. Schneider, originally from San Jose,
California, has lived in Lincoln, Nebraska, for the last 20
years. She has a B.S. in educational studies and has spent the
last 30 years working in early childhood. Schneider has been a
center director for much of that time in a variety of programs.
She has also been heavily involved in increasing quality in
early childhood throughout her community. She is past president
of the Nebraska Child Care Director’s Association, co-chair of
the Access to Quality workgroup, member of the Lincoln Early
Childhood Network leadership team, and was formerly appointed by
the governor to the Early Childhood Interagency Coordinating
Council. In addition, she is a professional development specialist
for the CDA program with over 100 CDA visits, and a coach with
Nebraska Step Up to Quality through the Nebraska Department of
Education. She is married with 3 grown children and a puppy named
Bodie.'
