Saffron Buettner
Community Storytelling
Saffron Buettner, early childhood coordinator for Hall County
Community Collaborative, has devoted her career to advocating
for young children. This passion has led her to garner
experience in the early childhood field as a home child care
provider, teacher, administrator, coach, mentor, consultant,
observer, and trainer. Her work in Hall County is focused on
bringing together community-wide collaboration efforts to
influence change in the child care fabric of the county. These
efforts have brought together stakeholders, initiatives, child
care providers, parents, and businesses, all while spotlighting
the necessity of quality, equitable care and education for young
children. Buettner holds certifications in supervisory-level
reflective practice coaching, strengths-based coaching, infant
and toddler CLASS observation through Teachstone, and mentoring
through Mentor Collective. She earned an associate degree in
business administration from Central Community College and a
B.A. in child development from Concordia University. Buettner
and her husband raised their two daughters in Grand Island. She
enjoys reading, volunteering, playing piano, and driving through
the Nebraska sandhills.
