Jolene Johnson
Quality Early Care and Education Revisited: What It Means and What It Takes
Dr. Jolene Johnson is the director of education and child
development for the Munroe-Meyer Institute at the University of
Nebraska Medical Center. Her evaluation and research focus on
how interventions and processes affect student outcomes, quality
in classrooms, and teacher well-being. She leads several
evaluation projects nationally, statewide, and locally including
Mindfulness & Mastery, which examines the impact of mindfulness
practices and reflective consultation on early childhood
educators. She leads the MMI team for the Preschool Development
Grant – Performance Evaluation strand. Johnson holds a doctorate
in educational leadership in addition to an Ed.S. in school
psychology, both from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
