David Moore

David Moore serves as police chief for Janesville, Wisconsin.
He began his career with the Janesville Police Department in
1977 and was appointed chief in 2009. As chief, he has guided
the department to be a community-oriented and problem-solving
organization. Moore holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal
justice administration and a Master of Science in
corporate/public communication. He is a graduate of the 186th
FBI National Academy and of Northwestern University’s School of
Police Staff and Command. Moore, a lifelong Janesville resident,
serves on many local committees and boards, including the
Janesville Morning Rotary Club. He has been a member of Fight
Crime: Invest in Kids since 2012 and has pushed for evidence-
based interventions in early childhood through a variety of
settings.
