Jim Alexander is Senior Vice President of Business Attraction for the St. Louis Regional Economic Development Alliance (AllianceSTL). AllianceSTL is a business-led economic development organization which promotes the economic growth and development of the 15-county, bi-state St. Louis region. It has a 15-person board that includes many of the area’s top corporate executives focused on understanding and filling business location needs. Jim Alexander brings over 30 years of experience working all sides of domestic and international deals – as a for-profit and non-profit economic developer, as a site and incentives consultant and as a client/end user. Through all his work, Jim focuses on providing clients and partners with value. Jim is an active member of the Industrial Asset Management Council, the International Economic Development Council and serves on the board of directors of the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois, the Midwest Cargo Hub Commission, the City of St. Louis Workforce Development Board (SLATE), the World Affairs Council of St. Louis, and the Missouri Partnership Advisory Council. Jim received his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio and received his master’s degree in Business Administration from Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio. He is also a graduate of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma.
